Cebu Bloggers Reach Out to Umapad Fire Victims

Having been blessed by God, I realized how important it is to help those who are in need.

Last June 14, I went with the Cebu Bloggers Society to visit the fire victims in Umapad, Mandaue City. Six hundred fifty-six families were affected by the fire that hit two sitios in the said barangay. We bought a sack of rice, sardines, and noodles.

We were advised by the barangay captain to give our donations to his team and let them distribute it for us. However, our donations were not enough to feed 656 families, so we asked to visit the place and interview the families. We thought writing about them would be another way of helping them.
