Cebu is 7th best island destination

The Conde Nast Traveler magazine has released the annual Readers’ Choice Awards 2009 listing of best cities, islands, hotels, transportation and resorts worldwide. It’s three years in a row that Cebu maintains its 7th rank in the world as best island destination.
What’s the effect on this? It is clear that even in tough times Cebu stands out as one of the best island destinations where friends and foreigners can have wonderful vacation and stay. Second, it boosts our tourism industry which means more money is coming in.
Cebuanos must be proud of this recognition.

Actually I was born in Ormoc City. My father is a native Cebuano (in Opon). For my 11 years stay here in Cebu, I would say that this is a great place to live in.
