South Korea’s influence among Cebuanos have continued to extend from KPop to Korean drama and to Korean Skin Care. This time, Cebu Grand Spa brought the ‘Jimjilbang’ lifestyle to Cebu!

The moment you enter the Sauna area, it’s clothes off. No undies. No photos and videos allowed. Sweat it out either with the Wet or Dry Sauna.
What’s a ‘Jimjilbang‘? Jimjilbang is a large, 24-hour, gender-segregated public bath house with showers, sauna, sleeping lounge, restaurants and entertainment areas. It’s widely popular among Koreans as a favorite past time and place of relaxation.
Aside from flushing toxins from your body and helps relieves stress, Sauna can help give your skin that youthful glow. The shower and tub area is where you can chill after a good 10-15min stay at the sauna. Bathroom toiletries like soap an shampoo are sold at the reception area.
The core feature of the Jimjilbang are the bath tubs and the sauna. These two are what makes Jimjilbang great for the skin and well-being. Some of the benefits of taking a sauna are: flushes toxins in the body, cleanses the skin, relieves stress, and improves cardiovascular function.
After soaking in the sauna, the tub and taking a shower, guests can then change to the Spa clothes provided. They can either take a nap at the sleeping lounge, eat out at the Korean restaurant or snack bar, or chill at 3 Star Coffee for some coffee, tea or juice.

Massage service is also available at a friendly rate. Either enjoy it solo or do it together at their couples or group rooms.
Cebu Grand Spa is Cebu’s first Jimjilbang in Cebu. Opened last April 2019, it is located in Soong Lapu-Lapu City near Crimson Resort Mactan. You can ride a taxi, or use your Grab or Waze App and just type ‘Cebu Grand Spa’.
Fo Php500 per person, you can have 10-hour access to all the amenities at Cebu Grand Spa. If you’re just waiting or killing time for your flight to the airport, you can rest here instead. Invigorate. It’s only 20minutes away from Mactan International Airport and they also offer airport shuttle at P100 per person.
