A Day at Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort

Aug. 1, 2009- The Cebu Bloggers Society was invited to go and see the amiable place in the southern part of Cebu. Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort is the sister resort of Maribago Bluewater Island Resort, both owned by Almont Holdings, Inc. Located on the tranquil island of Sumilon in Oslob, Cebu- this historic island is also in close proximity to Dumaguete City. Recognized as the first marine protected area in the Philippines, Sumilon Island was also made as a fish sanctuary under the guidance of Siliman University Marine Reserve way back 1974.

The island’s 24 hectares surface area is surmounted by crystal clear waters with varying aquamarine colours. Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort offers Cave Tours, Beach Picnic, Dinner Parties, Lagoon Fishing, Hiking, Massage, Island Hopping, Boat Tours, Paddle Boat Adventure, Trekking, and many more. They also offer snorkeling trips, windsurfing, and scuba diving.
