Pinoy-Pinoy: The 3rd Filipino Food Festival at the Café Marco

On June 18, 2010 was Pinoy-Pinoy, the 3rd Filipino Food Festival, which was held at the Café Marco in Marco Polo Plaza, Cebu. The event showcased a sneak-peak into the six-day food festival (June 20-26, 2010) featuring the specially prepared Modern Filipino-inspired buffet by two of the country’s top celebrity chefs – Chef Gene Gonzales and his son, Chef Gino Gonzales.

 

The lunch buffet was attended by personalities from TV and print media, and from the Cebu Bloggers Society. The guests were given an amazing array of sumptuous dishes from the appetizer to the main course, and finally, the dessert.

Here are some of the food offered at the buffet:

  1. Cebu Tomato Party
  2. Pinsec Lasap
  3. MarinatedGgrilled Kesong Puti
  4. Samal Rice – black rice with sliced squid for toppings
  5. Desserts – left to right: Salabat Creme BruleeMango and Coconut PannacottaDried Mango Sansrival, and Ilang-ilang Ice Cream
  6. Pakbet Serbesa con Carcar
  7. US Beef Belly Asado
