The 1st Blog Weekend Bootcamp to be held in Davao City

Blog Weekend Bootcamp is an activity-filled event for the writers, bloggers and writing entrepreneurs. The first blogging event spanning for 3 days includes blog creation and creative writing workshops integrating blogging and social media. It will occur in Davao City.

If you are familiar with Startup Weekend, perhaps, you can observe the three-day activities that include pitching of ideas, startup conceptualization and frame-work generation and 2-minute live presentation. Activities such as the Startup Weekend promotes digital entrepreneirship and breeds technopreneurs.

In Blog Weekend Bootcamp, participants can learn from mentors who will also do speaking engagements on certain topics about blogging, creative writing, video blogging and social media. Hence, it is a live-in conference that involves mentorship and workshops. It aims to support bloggers from all skill levels in utilizing the best tools for blogging and social media.

The 3-day event encompasses various activities– from Blogathon to Social Good Summit Davao.

Yes, you read it right. Davao Bloggers are also celebrating Social Good Summit similar to what the Cebu Bloggers will be having in Cebu on September 22, 2012. The SGSummit Davao will occur on the 2nd day while on the first day, September 21, 2012, the Blogathon trail will commence.

Blog Weekend Bootcamp also includes bird show and  heritage tour during the third day.

Speakers and mentors of Blog Weekend Bootcamp include notable names such as Janette Toral and Aileen Apolo-de Jesus of Google. Jojie Alcantara, Jay Frank de Jesus, Justin Cooke, Rene Lizada, Kring Elenzano and Roy Geonzon complete the pack of speakers.

Blog Weekend Bootcamp will happen inside the Malagos Garden Resort in Davao City. The bootcamp starts at 2PM of September 21, 2012 and ends on September 23, 2012 in the afternoon.
