Cebu Bloggers group celebrates five years
The Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. (CBSI) will turn five years old on February 14.
The members will honor the event through an “Appreciation Night” on February 15 (Friday) at Harold’s Hotel in Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City. With the theme, “ACTNow”, which is also CBSI’s theme for 2013, the night will recognize members and partners who made significant contributions to the premier blogging organization in Cebu.

CBSI was founded in 2008 incorporated as a non-profit organization under the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2010.
Within the span of five years, the group successfully covered the US Election Watch in 2008 and organized a computer literacy program in Pinamungahan, Cebu in 2010; Visayas Blogging Summit in November 2011; 1st Social Media Day in June 2012; and 1st World Blogathon in December 2012, among others.
Currently, CBSI is composed of 53 registered members—professional bloggers and hobbyist bloggers with different niches—lead by President Ruben Licera Jr. and Vice Presidents Nancy Cudis (internal) and Bjornson Bernales (external). Together, they continue to promote Cebu through blogging and social media while each becoming digital influencers in their respective niches.
