RAFI & CBSI Hosts Reporting Heritage for Bloggers
Reporting Heritage for Bloggers is RAFI & CBSI’s answer to the need for improvement in heritage blogging. Blogging has been creating impact since its inception so they joined forces to host a workshop for writers who are interested to learn heritage blogging.
The accessibility of internet has dramatically increased nowadays. You can now go online using your smart phone and it doesn’t even matter where you are, as long as there is telco signal on. Blogging is now made easier thanks to advancement in modern technology.
Blogging by definition are information that are recorded on a website that is powered by the internet. Information includes text, photos, videos, and audio files. People blog almost about anything nowadays; from the time they wake up and upon sleeping. Common interests that are blogged online are technology, fashion, art, travel food, and personal favorites.
Since Philippines is rich in culture and history, a certain type of blogging should be given much importance. Heritage blogging need to be promoted now more than ever, especially in our own country.
Reporting Heritage for Bloggers Organizers
Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) and Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. (CBSI) are well-aware of the importance og blogging, especially the development of heritage blogging, so they organized “Reporting Heritage for Bloggers” which will be held today, May 25 at 10 AM – 4 PM in Casa Gorordo Museum.
The major intention of the event is to teach bloggers from Cebu on how to properly write about the culture and heritage of Cebu. This event is also a precursor for the annual Gabii sa Kabilin held every last Friday of May which showcases Cebu museums and tourists spots.
Reporting Heritage for Bloggers Speakers
Boboi Costas will be gracing the event while discussing about “Why blog about heritage and what to blog about heritage.” Jason Baguia on the other hand will be sharing about “How to write about heritage” while Gerard Pareja will be talking about “How to take photos of heritage subjects.”
The executive director of RAFI Culture and Heritage, Dr. Jocelyn Gerra, will be joining Boboi Costas during the discussion.
