The Unilab Ideas Positive champions thought of plan and implemented appropriate interventions to help the community. Their focus was geared towards the mishandling of mussels for de-shelling. It was the main source of income of the said community.

In order to address the present problem, part of their implementation was teaching the community about the importance of hygiene and sanitation. Afterwhich, cleanliness was something that the community valued as it drastically improved their situation.

Aside from bodily cleanliness, the bayanihan pride that is so much part of the Filipino psyche was utilized to inspire the community settlers to join the clean-up activities. Community pathways were also built using a mixture of crushed mussel shells, cement, and sand.

Acquiring the top spot, Team WAYA was able to receive a sponsorship of Php 100,000 from Unilab. The funds were used to implement the plan of actions that they had formulated for their chosen community. The team was one of the 12 chosen contenders who were tasked to implement solutions to existing community problems.

Hann Dolduco, Rexell Ela, Charibel de Pedro, Micheal dela Peña, and Alfred Dicto is Team WAYA. They also received a trophy and individual medals during the awarding ceremonies.
