The 3rd leg of Startup Weekend Cebu has been unveiled by the organizing committee and important representatives last April 30 in Mandaue City at Acoustica Grill.

Startup Weekend 3 Goal

The goal of Startup Weekend 3 is to create prgressive ideas from various tech groups in the Visayas.

The event proper itself will be held on June 7-9 in University of San Carlos Main Campus (Buttenbruch Hall).

In response to the growing demand of startup aficionados in Visayas and Mindanao, the organizers of Startup Weekend 3 made a subsequent event in November 2013, which followed the successful leg done on May 2012.

Startup Weekend 3 is a platform where various tech persons and investors can merge to incubate an idea for a business venture. The competition’s duration will last within 54 hours.

“Startup Weekend is an event driven by the grassroots community – not corporations. Part of the SWC3 story is that I or we
have passed the baton over to the new organizers. By this, we have accomplished one of our goals: to
do skills transfer and share best practices with others,” enthuses Miss Tina Amper, Startup Weekend 3 organizer/adviser and founder of TechTalks.ph.
