Almost every nook and cranny of the Philippines has a sari-sari store but most of them them end up closing because the store owners don’t know how to manage their business, so Prince Warehouse Club will include in the Sari-Sari Store Festival 2013 the basics of handling a small business. The festival will take place in Cebu International Convention Center on July 20, 2013.

What are the activities for Sari-Sari Store Festival 2013?

Aside from basic business handling, PWC CEO and President Robert Go mentioned that there will be a free financial literacy seminar for sari-sari store owners, which will tackle proper inventory, basic accounting knowledge, and financial management.

Mr. Robert Go shows to us how eager their patrons were when their latest branch was opened.

“They do not have the discipline to manage their finances and they do not have rolling capital,” Go said. “Most of them do not know how to run a business. That’s why we are here to help them.”

Discussions about micro finance, entrepreneurship, and best practices in sari-sari store will surely equip SMEs proper knowledge in growing their business.

The success and growth of sari-sari stores are indirectly proportional to our nation’s GDP, that of which is 57% in the retail industry, according to Go.

Owners of sari-sari stores from different parts of Cebu are expected to come and make the festivities of Sari-Sari Store Festival 2013 very lively and much grander!
